COMPANY WINS BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD


Montana Resources, LLP, one of the Washington Companies, is proud to announce its selection as 2005 Business of the Year for Butte/Silver Bow. This award was presented to Tad Dale, VP Human Resources, on behalf of the management team and all employees of  Montana Resources, LLP, at the 94th Annual, Butte Chamber of Commerce Banquet recently held at the Butte Copper King Lodge.

The Butte-Silver Bow Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Award is intended to publicly recognize the business that has had the most positive impact on the community. This award was given specifically to “Montana Resources, LLP and its employees in recognition of their contribution to a healthy Butte and State economy.”  Montana Resources, LLP provides natural resources that enhance the standard of living of all citizens.  The reopening of the copper and molybdenum mine in August 2003 has turned the economy of Butte around. Montana Resources, LLP currently employs approximately 350 men and women who reside in Butte and Anaconda and the neighboring communities.

Mr. Dale commented when accepting the award “I am very proud of this achievement, and would like to thank the Chamber of Commerce for selecting us for this prestigious award.  I accept this on behalf of all of our employees who have worked their hearts out to make this a successful mining operation”. 

Realizing that the safest mine is the most productive mine the primary focus for the future is improving safety at all levels.  An employee guided Safety Committee has been formed to advise and support this effort.  Montana Resources, LLP, would also like to congratulate the other local businesses for working together to make the Butte area a great place to live and work.
