November 3, 2003 Kyle Washington, Chairman & CEO and Brent A. Geen, President of Seaspan International Ltd. (SIL), recently announced the appointment of Kevin N. Irvine to the position of Executive Vice President, effective immediately. Mr. Irvine will also retain his responsibilities as Chief Financial Officer. SIL is a member of the Washington Marine Group (WMG). As Executive Vice President, Mr. Irvine will retain his responsibilities for the financial and risk management aspects of the business. As well, he will now direct the activities of the Group's Information Services Department, Corporate Human Resources and will be responsible for Seaspan Coastal Intermodal Company, another member of the WMG. Mr. Irvine joined the Washington Marine Group in 2001 after serving as the Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Miramar Mining Corporation, in North Vancouver. He also held progressively senior level financial management positions within the forestry and manufacturing sectors, including Slocan Forest Products Ltd., and Sauder Industries Limited. Mr. Irvine was admitted to the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1989.
