Washington Foundation Awards Grants

The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Butte was awarded a grant of $2500 in support of their efforts to help at-risk children and families in need.

A grant of $7000 will be giving to "Big Sky Kids" which provides outdoor recreation retreats for young cancer patients and their families. This wonderful program has made great impact on the parents, siblings, and patients. It offers an escape from the routine cancer treatments and offers ongoing support and understanding from others who share common fears and stresses associated with cancer. The Washington Foundation is happy to assist.

The Washington Foundation has awarded the Helena Family YMCA with a $5000 grant to provide funds to help low-income youth participate in YMCA programs and membership.

The Montana Historical Society will receive an $8000 grant in support of their efforts to showcase Montana History Scholars. There will be two Montana History Conference sessions presenting original Montana-history research from college scholars.
